We missed him. And it looks like it’s coming back with a bang. True Detective is back for its long-awaited fourth season after an impressive five-year hiatus.
The new installment of the popular HBO anthology series – officially titled “Night Country” – is led by the acting duo: Jodie Foster and Callie Reiss as two police officers who investigate the disturbing disappearance of eight scientists in a small town. Ennis in Alaska, which evaporated without a trace. A disappearance that we suspect will end up being a homicide investigation.
This is the first starring role for Jodie Foster, winner of two Academy Awards for Best Actress for The Accused and The Silence of the Lambs. At least the first in his adult career.
Airing on HBO in the US on January 14, the first of six episodes of Night Country will be available the following day, ie. Monday 15 January, on Prime Video via the Warner Pass option. The broadcast will continue weekly, with one episode each week.
The first American reviews have already started coming in as the series’ launch approaches, and they seem to be mostly positive. I will tell you about it soon.
The fourth season comes exactly 10 years after the first. Awarded an Emmy Award in 2014, it immediately won over critics and the public. Lead actors Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson were both nominated for Emmys for their roles as detectives Rust Cole and Martin Hart, respectively.
We bet it will be at least 4th this season.
