A More Beautiful Life: What’s in store for Tuesday 16 January 2024 episode 7 [SPOILERS]

Steve struggles to escape

In Massalia’s residence hall, Steve, a student, tries in vain to contact his university’s scholarship office. He has not received payments to his bank account this month and his financial situation is extremely strained.

While waiting in the phone line, Steve is visited by Jules, who suggests going for a drink at the Mistral. The young man agrees to accompany him, but does not order anything due to lack of money. He is talking to Jules and Nisma when he suddenly almost chokes on Peanut. At the same time, an employee of the scholarship department finally answers his call, but Steve ignores it, he is more busy recovering his sanity…

Later, Nisma confides in Jules that she finds Steve’s behavior strange, especially since the young man does his best not to talk about his personal life. Julie doesn’t seem to agree. Does Steve have a secret?

Babette gives Leah some advice

At the doctor’s office, Lea confides in her mother that she regrets not having time for herself and that she wants Jean-Paul to be more involved at home. Babette says she needs to talk to her husband about this directly, like she did with Patrick a few years ago.

Following her mother’s advice, Leah goes home at lunchtime to spend time with Jean-Paul. But when he arrives, he finds that she didn’t wait for him to eat. Léa is frustrated, she tries to speak to him, but Jean-Paul has to answer an emergency call.

That same evening, Jean-Paul took the initiative: he prepared dinner. Babette congratulates him and says: “You see when you want”. This reflection does not go unnoticed and Jean-Paul asks Lea what is going on. She explains to him that cooking is fine, but that the kitchen is a mess and they need to clean it up. Did you get the message?

Is Estelle leading a double life?

At the Mistral police headquarters, Morgan meets Maylin, his boss, as well as Samuel and Ariane, his colleagues. After the presentations, the new brigadier discovers a police investigation he will have to work on: the attempted poisoning of Francesco. Ariane informs him that the prime suspect is Estelle, the victim’s wife.

A few meters away, Silvia announces to Francesco and Estelle that Benjamin has been released. Estelle does not react to this information and goes to the city to find Luna. He tells his friend that Francesco is becoming more and more jealous and persistent. Across the street, Morgan and Patrick monitor the prime suspect’s every move.

A few minutes later, Luna goes to Mistral and meets Francesco and Silvia. The latter asks her if she has any news from Estelle, but Luna feigns ignorance and leaves. Francesco confides in Silvia that his wife was at training because of Luna. She’s sure he’s doing everything he can to keep her away from him.

Meanwhile, Morgan and Patrick continue to spy on Estelle. After meeting Luna, he goes to the pet store. Unexpectedly, two police officers discover that the prime suspect is talking to a man they know. This is Javad Sanga, Estelle’s former companion. Two ex-lovers hug each other. Are they complicit in the attempt to poison Francesco?
