The team will remain in the small town of Iserlohn, Germany
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) announced this Monday (15th) that the headquarters of the Azzurri during the next edition of the European Championships will be in Iserlohn, Germany.
According to the organization, the delegation of the current tournament champion will stay in a local hotel and train at the Hemberg stadium.
The small German municipality, which is located in the administrative region of Arnsberg, was chosen because it is close to Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen, where the four-time world champions will face Albania and Spain respectively.
“The choice also affects the enthusiasm and warmth shown by the city institutions and the local community, ready to experience this exciting adventure together with the team”, explained the federation.
Italy’s arrival in Iserlohn is scheduled for June 10, five days before the duel against the Albanians. .
