For those who are fans of the series “The Big Bang Theory” and also of the spin-off series about the past of its protagonist, “Young Sheldon”, you can celebrate: another series based on the characters of the two works should be produced by Warner , according to information from Variety. At the moment there is no confirmed date for its premiere, nor do we know what the name of the production should be.
We already know, however, what the story of the series should be about. The intention is to focus on the older brother of our dear Sheldon. So we should have a show centered around Georgie, played by Montana Jordan, and his wife Mandy, a role that belongs to Emily Osment in Young Sheldon.
The idea is that the two actors will reprise their roles in this new series, and both are in negotiations to confirm their participation as a couple, who will be the protagonist of the plot. The spin-off on Georgie and Mandy will also feature the executive producers of Young Sheldon, namely: Steve Holland, Steven Molaro and Chuck Lorre.
Georgie and Mandy are not central characters in Young Sheldon, but they are highlighted at certain points in the series. They also have a son in season 6, Constance Cooper, and, of course, get engaged a few episodes later.
As The Big Bang Theory was recorded, the new spin-off is expected to be multi-camera. Young Sheldon followed another model, using a single camera.
Young Sheldon finishes this year
The Big Bang Theory ended in 2020, while the seventh and final season of Young Sheldon already has a premiere and an end date: the premiere on CBS will be February 15th, and the last episode will air on May 16th.
