‘Great movie’: Netflix adds action-packed western and it’s a hit on the platform!

Netflix subscribers will enjoy watching the western The Professionals, released in 1966 (!) with a cast of experienced actors: Burt Lancaster, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Woody Strode and Claudia Cardinale. Reason ? It’s a great old-fashioned action movie that hasn’t lost its effectiveness!

Professional takes place in the midst of the Mexican Revolution and tells the story of the kidnapping of Maria Grant, the wife of a wealthy landowner, by a formidable Mexican bandit and his army. Mr. Grant then hires a team of mercenaries to free him. This is how a group consisting of Bill, Rico, Hans and Jake, specialists in each field, even if it seems to them that something is wrong…

Among them we can cite Elmer Gantry The Charlatan (already with Lancaster), Under the Masks, The Last Hunt (another great Western), the drama Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, the thriller In Cold Blood or Seeds of Violence. The rediscovery of this Western by Netflix subscribers could encourage the platform to follow the model of Paramount+ or Warner Pass on Amazon Prime Video, namely to enrich its offer with films, nicknamed “legacy”, but which clearly have everything that pleases the public . We meet the Colts!
