Un Si Grand Soleil Preview: Episode Summary for Friday 19 January 2024 [SPOILERS]

Gilham’s heart stopped beating

Gilham was rushed to hospital in critical condition after being shot in the stomach.

Meanwhile, Akim is in the interrogation room at the police station. The shocked young man is waiting for the prosecutor to come and question him.

Johanna, warned by the doctors, is in the hospital and is waiting for news from her uncle. Dr. Alphand informed him a short time later that they had managed to remove the bullet from his abdomen and stop the bleeding. On the other hand, the spleen is damaged and the injuries are deep. That’s why Gilham is in critical condition. At this stage, the doctor cannot comment and guarantees that he will recover.

The next morning, Prosecutor Bernier and Commissioner Becker interrogate Akim. The latter tells him in the smallest details what happened the previous day. He explains that he tried to reason with Gilham before asking him to lower his gun. As the lawyer fired first, Akim had to return fire to defend himself. While Prosecutor Bernier tries to find out if there was a warning before the shooting, the policeman confirms it before begging him to believe it.

In turn, Manu accepts Estelle’s statement, which in turn gives his version of the facts. As for the firearm in his possession, the massage therapist explains that he obtained it after the client’s attack. However, he claims he never intended to use it. According to him, it was simply to protect himself and calm down.

At the hospital, Johanna is on the phone with Ian as she wants to know if he has any information about what happened. So Ian tells him that Gilham lost his temper before shooting Akeem, who returned fire in self-defense. Thinking that his uncle is incapable of such a thing, the lawyer believes that Estelle and Akim lied during their testimony.

In the office, Claudine, Margot and Florent discuss what happened to Guilham. This is how Margo discovers that it was Aki who shot their colleague. A worried young woman tries to contact him. in vain

He then calls Bilal, who informs him that Akim is currently in police custody. When he tries to find out what he was doing at Estelle’s house, Bilal unfortunately cannot answer him. A panicked Bilal wonders how he will be able to help his brother. As the first thing to do is find a good lawyer, Margot thinks she knows the perfect person.

At the end of the day, Prosecutor Bernier, Commissioner Becker and Captain Leon evaluate the investigation. According to the first elements they have, Estelle received several calls from Gillham 24 hours before the tragedy. Based on the number of calls and the content of the messages, they no longer doubt that the lawyer had a seizure shortly before his death. And as Estelle’s and Akim’s testimonies agree, everything points to the policeman firing in self-defense. However, prosecutor Bernier wants to be cautious and prefers to wait before deciding on Guilham’s version. In the meantime, he is obliged to initiate a thorough investigation and hand over the case to the IGPN.

As night falls, Elizabeth joins Johanna in the hospital. After fighting with Gilham the last time they saw each other, he promises Johanna that he will apologize to her when he wakes up.

After a while, Dr. Alfandi joins them and tells them the terrible news. Gilham’s heart stopped. In fact, the injuries were very deep and the doctors could do nothing. Falling down, Johanna cried and ran into Elizabeth’s arms.

Tommy gives Maeve an ultimatum

Maeva prepares a suitcase for a trip to Egypt. Faced with a lack of enthusiasm, Karine tries to figure out what’s wrong. So the teenager convinces him that he is afraid of airplanes. After calming him down, Karine gives him money so he can enjoy his vacation.

Tom, on the other hand, is depressed and confides in Achilles about his complicated love affair with Maeve. In fact, he can’t stand playing both sides. Achilles then advises him to talk to a young woman, but Tom fears that he will choose Robin. Therefore, he does not want to pressure her and risk losing her.

Not far from there, Robin, Tyce, and Maeva are having a drink at 101, where Louie works as a waitress. Quickly, the discussion turns to the trip to Egypt. As Robin has not finished packing his suitcase, he offers Maeva to spend the rest of the day with him, but the young woman declines, insisting that she wants to spend some time with her mother.

In fact, Maeva joins the tribe. After the kiss, the adults go to the young woman’s house. After they sleep together, Tommy asks Maeve to leave Robin. While she refuses to suffer him, Tom gives her an ultimatum. If she goes to Egypt with Robin, their story is over. So who will she choose, Tom or Robin?
