Madame Teia receives new posters; I wait

Expectations for Sony’s newest Spider-Man universe film, Madame Web, remain high. A few posters were released this week. The images focus on Dakota Johnson, who plays the character that gives the film its name, and other heroines who will be important in the plot.

In the images shared with the public, in addition to Johnson, we see actresses Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced and Celeste O’Connor, all wearing spider-woman heroine costumes. One of the posters is also dedicated to actor Tahar Rahim.

In addition to featuring Dakota Johnson as the central character, Cassandra Webb, the film will star Sweeney as Julia Carpenter, Merced as Anya Corazon, and O’Connor as Mattie Franklin. The cast is completed by names known to the public, such as Adam Scott, Mike Epps and Emma Roberts.

Scheduled for release on February 14, Madame Web is the fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, following Poison, Venom: Times of Carnage AND Morbius. The film is directed by SJ Clarkson. Also in 2024, another film from the studio set in the same universe should debut, focusing on the villain Kraven, the Hunter.

Madame Web will be Sony’s longest film in the Spider-Man universe

It’s true that most of the Spider-Man films in cinemas are not produced by Sony: all the most recent ones, starring Tom Holland, were made in partnership with Marvel Studios.

Yet Sony is creating (or attempting to create) a universe with characters coming directly from Teioso’s stories (without him necessarily being present). Of the productions, Madame Teia is expected to be the longest. Here you can find more on the topic.
