The public filled the MST Cultural Galpão, in the center of São Paulo, this Sunday the 21st
“We will go in, even just to enjoy a song,” said Lucas, who had stood in line for more than two hours on the second day of rehearsals at the Bloco Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta, braving the São Paulo storm. with a raincoat and a can of beer in his hand.
The boy, passionate about the block, told the Earth that he will never get out of the queue and that even if he doesn’t make it to the event, what matters to him are the friendships he made during the fight.
Rehearsals began at 2pm on Sunday 21st. “The best thing about coming here is the queue. Today alone I met five people and this is Carnival, Brazil!”, Lucas said.

Dennis, another keen reveler on the block, said he planned to stay in line until he could get in: “Even in the rain. I have been in a relationship for many years [com o Baixo Augusta]. A well-known traditional block. There’s no way not to come.”
However, not everyone takes it in good spirits. “We’ve been here since 2pm, he’s disgusting. In the rain, humiliated,” complained another reveler who did not want his name revealed.
Counting down to the parade that will celebrate 15 years of history, Acadêmicos do Baixo Augusta, the precursor and largest carnival group in São Paulo, held a rehearsal at the MST’s Galpão Cultural. The last one will be on the 28th, starting from 2.00 pm.
