Vasco beats Deportivo Maldonado with Payet’s goal
In the second friendly of the Série Rio de La Plata tournament, Vasco wins once again against Deportivo Maldonado. The team was safe for most of the match, but the performance was not surprising. Despite the win, the match was tepid for much of the half.
Vasco fans witnessed a great performance from French star and team number 10, Dimitri Payet, who scored the only goal of the match. Vasco thus ends the pre-season and the trip to Uruguay with two victories, with the same score, 1-0. If the attack, on the one hand, did not shine much in these two matches against San Lorenzo and Deportivo Maldonado, the defense did not concede a goal and secured the victories.
