Read synopsis:

At the turn of the 20th century, three knights embark on an expedition through the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, at the behest of a wealthy landowner, charged with protecting his vast property. In the company of a reckless British lieutenant and an American mercenary, is the mestizo sniper Segundo, who realizes, amid the growing tensions in the group, that his true mission is to murderously “remove” the indigenous population.

Filmed in stunning mountainous landscapes, Chile’s representative for the Oscar for Best International Film is a reckoning with the national myth and the violence that accompanies it. Artistic yet penetrating, this acclaimed frontier epic takes a courageous look at the past, daring to reimagine its representation in the present and future.
