BBB | Globo repeats “BBB 23” and omits sexist speeches in the open television edition

The most discussed topic this Monday (22/1) on social media, the sexist speeches of the men locked up in “BBB 24” were completely ignored in the night edition of the program, broadcast on TV Globo. Not even Gretchen’s call for the elimination of the members of the “boys group”, as Yasmin Brunet defines it, has raised awareness in the production of the program, which in the current season repeats the same mistake made in “BBB 23”, when it minimized the machismo suffered by Larissa Santos, objectified by several members.

The production not only omitted the vulgar expressions exchanged in conversations between Rodriguinho, MC Bin Laden, Vinicius Rodrigues, Lucas Luigi and Juninho, but also praised the alleged love stories of these brothers as something positive. The same ones who call women “sluts”. Furthermore, Rodriguinho gained prominence in a cut that showed him as a sensitive man, at a time when social media filled his brother with adjectives with the opposite meaning.

The lines omitted by Globo have already led Isabelle Nogueira’s team to publish a text of repudiation. Besides her, Denizane Ferreira was also called the vulgar expression in the quintet’s conversation.

Defining the brothers’ attitude as “disgust”, Gretchen said that Globo carefully selected the male cast: “They were chosen as models of what a man should not be.” She called on the country’s women to national repudiation: “I ask all the women of Brazil to eliminate these idiots who treat women as objects in this program.”
