Rediscovering the iconic heroine through a dark coming-of-age story steeped in the occult: Welcome to Sabrina’s new adventure!

In the fictional town of Greendale, young Sabrina Spellman lives with her two aunts, Hilda and Zelda, and attends the local high school. If her life seems very banal to the outside world, it is far from it: half witch, half mortal, a young girl tries to come to terms with her dual nature every day.

However, as she approaches her 16th birthday, she must make a choice: sign the book of the Satanic Beast and become a member of his Night Church, like her entire family before her, or continue living among mortals. – and Harvey, her boyfriend – with limited powers. As he tries to make up his mind, he must also face the forces of evil that threaten him and those around him.

Indeed, created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale) in 2018, The New Adventures of Sabrina is a comic book adaptation Sabrina, the apprentice witch From the Archie Comics issues, and more precisely from its terrifying spin-off, The Terrifying Adventures of Sabrinawhich exists since 2014. And who says “chilling”, says evil, disturbing, glacial…

Thus, in the program – which does not shy away from numerous references to horror cinema, which will appeal to moviegoers – everything is more obscure and mysterious, more hellish and dangerous (even deadly), we talk about black magic and evil forces, the Satanic Church, hell and the devil. And the careful aesthetics of the program contribute to its originality: it provides a gothic (and sometimes bitter and erotic) atmosphere that is as retro and delicious as can be. And it all starts with a mix of horror and glossy paper credits…
