Luiza Brunet posted a note about racism after some Internet users accused her daughter Yasmin and especially Wanessa Camargo of acting in an allegedly racist manner towards Davi Brito on “BBB 24.” The controversy dominated discussions on social media throughout Friday (26/1).
Without naming names or situations, the former model wrote on Instagram: “Repudiation of racism has always been part of my personal and professional journey. Raising my daughter was no different. An exercise that doesn’t just consist of reproaching racist insults , but also in the awareness of others through listening. Listening to those who suffer daily from this evil and fighting to extinguish it. I am sure that white women have a firm role to play in solving this problem, after all, reparation must be accompanied by daily rebuke. Learning against humanity’s great injustice is permanent.”
The post attracted many comments, all with the same tone of rejection as Yasmin. “You are amazing, but unfortunately Yasmin passed away, it was a big disappointment,” one Internet user wrote. “It seems like your daughter doesn’t understand your teachings,” another pointed out. “Your daughter needs racial and social literacy,” added a third.
The most controversial point of the situation was Yasmin and Wanessa’s attempt to take Davi out of his room. Without support and after receiving a moral lesson from Marcus Vinícius, they gave up, but Wanessa spent the day going from person to person to speak ill of Davi, making heavy accusations against her brother, who is a dangerous person due to his ability to manipulate and psychologically abuse women.
