To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its release, “Titanic” will return to theaters in 2023 in a 3D remastered version.

The 11-Oscar-winning superproduction, including Best Picture, is expected to return to the screens around Valentine’s Day, the American Valentine’s Day, which is celebrated on February 14, in reference to Valentine’s Day. The international release is under the responsibility of Disney and is expected to take place on February 10, 2023. In the United States, the rights to the film are held by Paramount and the studio has not yet closed the release dates.

The information was shared by Jon Landau, COO of Lightstorm Entertainment and longtime partner in productions of director James Cameron, during a Disney presentation at the CineEurope event, which will be held in Barcelona, ​​Spain.

For the occasion, a snippet of the remastered version was shown, with 3D 4K HDR visuals, which will be released in cinemas next year.

A smash hit, “Titanic” has grossed more than $ 2.2 billion at the box office since its release in 1997. The film starring Leonardo DiCaprio (from “The Wolf of Wall Street”) and Kate Winslet (from “The Reader” ) is currently the third highest-grossing film of all time, behind “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avatar”, also directed by James Cameron.
