Considered the most controversial film of the last year, Sound of Freedom addresses child trafficking and a man’s journey to save them
Previously only available for purchase and rent, Freedom soundconsidered the most controversial film of 2023, is now available in the catalog of Amazon Prime Videoat no additional cost to subscribers of the streaming platform.
Freedom sound is the film adaptation of the story of Tim Ballarda special agent for the North American government, responsible for arresting pedophiles for more than a decade, saving the lives of countless children, even though he never took any of them back to their homes.
Faced with this reality, Ballardplayed in the film by Jim Caviezel (Jesus Christ in A Passion of christfrom 2004), sees the possibility of changing the focus of his work and, on his first mission, he is successful and ends up recovering the small Miguel (Lucas Ávila), returning him to his father, Roberto (José Zúñiga, Twilight).

In the United States, shortly after its debut, Freedom sound was accused of being a vehicle for spreading the QAnona far-right conspiracy theory, which believes in the existence of a global elite made up of Satan worshipers, cannibals and pedophiles, responsible for kidnapping children to drink their blood, among other barbarities.
However, the accusations did not prevent Freedom sound became a success and, since July, the production had already grossed US$ 184 million (around R$ 905 million at current prices) at the box office in the United States alone and another US$ 66 million (R$ 325 million) in the rest of the world, surpassing the US$250 million mark (R$1.23 billion) in total revenue.
