Do you know the concept of film? garbage? These productions are generally characterized by a low budget, an approach close to amateurism, exaggerated acting, simple special effects and absurd or unusual plots. The technical quality of these works is considered lower than traditional films.
However, the term “garbage” does not necessarily imply poor quality. Many of these films have gained public appreciation. Others have achieved cult status due to recognition of their artistic value.
Furthermore, some of these films are intentionally produced in a trashy way, trying to create a comical and ironic appeal.
If you are interested in the world of trash cinema, here are 10 titles available to watch online.
The best trash movies
This low-budget independent New Zealand film is directed by none other than Peter Jackson, responsible for the successful “Lord of the Rings” films.
Having become a cult for its practical and deliberately exaggerated special effects, the film is a mix of horror, science fiction and comedy.
The story takes place in a small town where the population has disappeared. A group of government agents, sent to investigate the phenomenon, discover that the cause is linked to an alien invasion seeking human meat for its fast food chain.

Intentionally trashy, “The VelociPastor” has a totally absurd premise, dubious special effects and crazy plot twists.
In the plot, a priest is infected by a mysterious artifact that transforms him into a velociraptor. He uses this new “skill” to fight crime and the religious ninjas who come after him.

This camp comedy parodies teen spy films and uses cheesy special effects to create a slapstick, over-the-top aesthetic. The film combines an intelligent screenplay with action scenes and choreography worthy of a trashy production.
The story revolves around a group of young women recruited to join a super spy organization.
Bringing a plot with representation, the film follows the love story of one of the spies (Sara Foster) with an international criminal (Jordana Brewster) who she is supposed to capture.

Directed by Wes Craven (of Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street), “Swamp Thing” is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. With a relatively low budget of $2.5 million, the film subverted the seriousness of the original work into an uncompromising B-movie. The cast includes Louis Jourdan, Adrienne Barbeau, Ray Wise and David Hess.
In the story, scientist Dr. Alec Holland is working on an experiment that can plant crops in arid land. However, the leader of a paramilitary organization who wants the formula sends his henchmen to sabotage everything. During the battle, Alec is exposed to chemicals and transforms into the powerful Swamp Thing.

This trashy slasher features a bizarre take on the Winnie the Pooh books. Here, the beloved and innocent children’s characters Pooh and Piglet get a murderous take after Christopher Robin abandons them when he enters college.
With a low budget of $100,000, the work grossed $5.2 million at the worldwide box office and became a financial success.

Remake of a 1958 horror and science fiction film, “The Killer Bubble” is directed by Chuck Russell and stars Kevin Dillon and Shawnee Smith.
This film is considered garbage due to its peculiar premise and absurd scenes, full of gory moments. In the plot, a meteorite falls on a small town bringing with it a gelatinous substance. The “bubble” begins to consume everything in its path, growing in size as it swallows people and objects.

Typical B-series action and science fiction film of the 90s, “Alien Domination” is directed by Richard Pepin. The film was produced by PM Entertainment Group, the company responsible for distributing a number of B-grade action and science fiction films in the 1980s and 1990s.
The plot follows a space program agent tasked with locating and eliminating the crew of a ship attacked by an alien life form. The astronauts were infected by extraterrestrial parasites that took up residence in their bodies, leading the eggs to dominate the Earth.
The cast includes names like Jack Scalia, Lance LeGault, Donna W. Scott, Robin Curtis and Jonathan Banks (Mike from “Breaking Bad”).

This poorly reviewed space opera is often labeled as a low-quality imitation of 1980s sci-fi action productions. Starring Brigitte Nielsen (“Rocky IV”, “Beverley Cop 2”), the film features special effects, plot and performances which some may find interesting, while others consider it of dubious taste.
In the plot, the evil Kyla (Richard Mol) steals a sacred crystal, a powerful source of energy. Ladera (Nielsen), a freedom fighter with invisibility abilities, travels to Earth in search of a twin jewel to stop the villain’s plans.

With deliberately ridiculous special effects, acting and plot, “Sharknado” is a deliberately crude production. The film became famous thanks to its absurd premise, which combines elements of natural disasters with sharks, resulting in several sequels.
In the plot, a waterspout sucks sharks out of the ocean and releases them onto Los Angeles, causing murder and mayhem.

With an unusual premise, “Serpentes a Bordo” combines two completely random and unlikely elements: snakes and a plane. Thanks to this idea, the film attracted a lot of attention and gained a fan base.
In the plot, a criminal attempts to kill a key witness in a murder case. To eliminate his target, who is boarding an escorted flight, the bandit has a bold plan: to introduce a large number of poisonous snakes into the plane.
Samuel L. Jackson stars in the film as an FBI agent tasked with protecting the witness and dealing with the snake threat.
