Friday February 2 Tomorrow belongs to us…
Gilles wants to save Cecil at any cost
While Gilles is still asleep, Marian goes to Alex and Chloe, very worried about her brother. Everyone gathers together to drink coffee. But Gilles is aggressive towards his sister, whom he calls a hypocrite. At the same time, Martin knocks on the door and takes Gilles aside to talk to him.
Martin begins by questioning Gilles about his relationship with Cécile. The latter says that he has known her for a few weeks, but their feelings are already very strong. He also knows about her previous relationships, this does not prevent him from planning with her in terms of marriage. Martin then tells Gilles that Cécile has always managed to get financial benefits from these unions. Therefore, the police suspect that he staged his own disappearance in order to collect the ransom money. Gilles, who completely trusts his fiancée, does not believe this theory for a second.
A little later, in the parking lot, Gilles discovers an envelope on the windshield of the car. Inside, a photo of Cecil was blurred out, with the following message on the back of the photo: “If you agree to pay, tie your shoelaces, otherwise you know what’s coming”. Gilles immediately obeys, tying his shoelaces while someone watches him from a parked car.
After which Gilles goes to the spoon. He contacts his bank, which refuses to issue the amount he requested following the usual procedures. As he listens, Gilles sees Sylvain at the counter. Gilles briefly confides in him, admitting that he fears the worst for Cécile if he doesn’t quickly hand over the money to his captors. Despite Sylvain’s invitation to stay at his place, Gilles explains that he needs to be alone, then leaves.
At the police station, Roxanne alerts Martin and Karim that Gilles spent a few minutes on the phone with his bank to try to release the funds. The police are surprised because there was no contact between Gilles and Cecil’s kidnappers. Martin immediately calls the Delcourts so they can reason with Gilles as quickly as possible.
Alex and Chloe return home to surround Gilles and prevent him from paying the ransom demanded by the kidnappers. But Gilles declares that he will never forgive himself if the kidnappers hurt Cecil. However, he seems to be resigning as the bank refuses to withdraw such a large sum of money from him.
In the evening, at the police station, Damien informs Karim and Martin of the results of the analysis of the blue dye found in the dump. According to these results, the vehicle used in the kidnapping is a minibus. As for Karim and Martin, they continue to dig into Cecil’s past, specifically trying to connect with one of his exes.
As for Gilles, despite what he allowed, he was looking for another way to pay off his captors. He cautiously returns to Alex and Chloe’s house in the evening, with bills in an envelope…
Will Charlie go to Canada?
Nathan goes to see Charlie at the Moreno house to cheer him up. Indeed, the young woman still feels ridiculed for her breakup with François. Although he let off steam by hitting her in public, she didn’t believe that he was joking with Soizic in the first place.
Later, Nathan is tasked with taking orders and serving Francois and Soizic in Spon. It is clearly unsympathetic towards them. François wants to dot the ‘y’s: he understands that Nathan is in solidarity with Charlie, but he makes it clear that their breakup has nothing to do with Soizic.
The latter enjoys lunch and offers Francois a romantic trip for two. But he considers it too fast and prefers to wait a little out of respect for others. Soizic, on the other hand, does not care at all how others look at him. But he understands his companion.
Charlie, on the other hand, organizes his things, removing anything that reminds him of Francois. However, he admits to Christel that behind his anger lies a true lack of ex.
After which Charlie confides in Sylvain that he met Francois and Soizic by chance. Sylvain suggests that she leave Seth and go to Canada, as she had planned. He thinks it will be the best for him.
A cockfight between Nordin and Gabriel
Victoria and Soraya meet for coffee in Spon. Victoria tells Soraya that her relationship with Samuel is finally over because she realized that she will never be happy with him. Soraya, in turn, tells her about the party that Gabriel threw her for her birthday. A romantic dinner that turned into a cockfight between Gabrielle and Nordin over complaining about the night’s awkwardness.
Back at the office, Soraya finds that Gabriel is refusing to pay a fine of 68 euros for making noise during the night. He is looking for an appeal that is at least 90%. Soraya advises her boyfriend to pay and then move on, but he is stubborn.
Meanwhile, Nordin realizes that he has lost the PV. Manon suggests that Rafael ask for a copy. He agrees to take Masse’s car to go to the office.
On the spot, Nordin meets Gabriel because Rafael is not there. So Nordin asks him for a copy of the report he absolutely needs the next day. Gabriel pretends he can’t provide for her if the policeman doesn’t agree to his fine. But Nordin does not give up and points out that bribing a policeman will not bring him a simple fine, but direct imprisonment. Gabriel finally gave up.
On the way home, Nordin blows a tire and discovers that Jack is missing from the trunk. Gabriel drives his car down the same street. Nordin asks him to borrow Jack, but Gabriel refuses, explaining that he doesn’t want to be fined for parking in the middle of the road.
