Squid Game Season 2: Discover the first images from the Netflix series!

After a little more than two years of waiting, the Netflix platform is finally getting ready to launch the second season of Squid Game. For this sequel, which fans have been so eagerly waiting for, several characters from Season 1 will return, starting with the protagonist Seong-hoon, played by Lee Jung-jae.

The first images of the Squid Game sequel were revealed by Netflix during a promotional video announcing its most anticipated production in 2024. A chance to discover a few seconds of a first look that tells us specifically that Season 2 will pick up right where Season 1 left off.

Direct continuation of the first season

As a reminder, Seong Gi-hoon – the 456th candidate – was awarded the Squid Game Champion and won 456 million won. Intended to travel to the United States to find his daughter and his ex-husband, the latter ultimately decided to stay in Korea to seek revenge against the company behind the creation of this sick game.

Therefore, the Season 2 images released by Netflix reveal that Season 2 will begin at the airport, and Seong-hoon will once again appear with red-dyed hair. But promotional photos released by the platform (see below) also confirm that the character will then return to her natural hair color.

These photos also confirm the return of two iconic characters from the first season: the mercenary from The Squid Game (played by Gong Yoo) as well as the masked villain nicknamed Front Man, played by Korean superstar Lee Byun-hoon.

New characters will also make their debut, starting with this young woman played by Park Gyu-young, who we get our first look at today.

Season 2 of The Squid Game will be available in 2024 exclusively on Netflix.
