The partner dies a month before the date and the bride “gets married” alone

“The photo shoot was like marrying him, I cried several times. Being with our families who supported me and carried on our dream, I felt Harry’s presence,” explains Lívia Costa

“Our story was very intense, all the good and bad happened to us too quickly”said the bride Livia Costa37 years old, in relation to the great love of his life: the chef Harry Lopez40 years.

The communicator and the chef met on social media in 2020; both lived in Porto Velho (RO).

Harry, Lívia’s fiancé, died of a heart attack a month before the scheduled wedding date. The heart problem arose due to chronic malnutrition, which he began suffering from after undergoing bariatric surgery.

The vitamin deficiency was so severe and had lasted for a long time that it ended up having irreversible consequences for Harry’s heart. “In his final moments, when he was in intensive care, Harry had six cardiac arrests, but he came back from them all. He was passionate about life.”says the communicator.

For three years, the couple enjoyed a relationship that she summarizes as “full and quiet”, until the symptoms of your partner’s health problem began to appear. She began to have a cardiac arrhythmia, with a rapid heartbeat for no apparent reason.

The couple had planned their wedding for November 25, 2023. On October 7, Harry had to be admitted to hospital due to a worsening condition. “We were in the final preparations for the house. Before being admitted he chose the color he wanted for the walls, we had also decided the places where we would take our wedding photos“, Lívia recalls, through tears.

Before he was admitted to intensive care, Henry made his future wife promise that she would move on with her life if he left. “He made me guarantee that I would make all our dreams come true”, accounts. According to her the words were: “You will finish our house, take our photos, go on your honeymoon, and I will stay by your side, no matter what.”.

Three years passed after the promise was made and Henry died. For her, even today, it is difficult to express in words the feeling of helplessness that remained with her.

One of the promises was kept exactly one month after his death: Lívia took the wedding photos dressed as a bride in the places they had decided together.

The moment was a mixture of love and desire, according to Lívia. Accompanied by her relatives, including her mother and mother-in-law, she walked through the streets of Porto Velho celebrating the memory of their relationship. “This photoshoot for me was like marrying him, I cried several times. Being there with our families who supported me and carried on our dream, I felt Harry’s presence”she said excitedly.
