Benoit Poelvoorde did not know Quentin Dupierre before suggesting to Au Poste! On the other hand, she was younger at a mutual friend’s house, but she never saw him again.

The actor recalls their meeting for the film:I immediately loved the script that kept me laughing. This is one of the funniest and best written scripts I have ever read. We went for a drink and I immediately knew that I was dealing with someone very unusual.

We had to meet for an hour to get to know each other, to smell each other’s butts, and in the end we spent the whole evening together. I came up with a plastic horse head that I found at a joke shop. We had a lot of fun!“

The initial idea of ​​the story

At first, Quentin Dupierre was very keen to make a film with text, as he was a little disappointed with his previous American films at this level. “But that’s where I come from, my short films and steak. The characters in my films talk a lot!“, he explains.
