A spectacular series since the beginning of the year, Masters of the Air is a new production from the trio of Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, who are behind the war fiction collections Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
This 9-episode mini-series based on Donald L. Miller’s eponymous book and memoir of true war heroes tells the incredible story of the men of the 100th Bombardment Group of the 8th Air Force. , whose mission was to bomb Nazi Germany during World War II.
As well as being an epic and spectacular series, Masters of the Air brings together a cast of up-and-coming young talent including Austin Boulter, Callum Turner, Barry Keoghan, Nkuti Gatwa, Anthony Boyle and Nate Mann.
But there is a young actor who comes on screen and stands out in the series. Less experienced than his colleagues, his face still tells you something. Rafe Lowe, who is none other than the son of Jude Law and Sadie Frost, plays Sergeant Ken Lemons, the flight leader of his ground team, who must ensure the pilots’ B-17 bombers are functioning properly and being repaired.
This secondary but important role throughout the series allows him to shine and explode the screen. Masters of the Air should definitely be her springboard that will open many doors for her in Hollywood.
