On Thursday, February 8, it all starts here…
This is D-Day for pastry days
At the institute, it’s D-Day for pastry days. Students gathered in the amphitheater for the inauguration given by Theisier. The latter will introduce the chefs – including Chef Moreira, voted the best pastry chefs of 2023 – who have come for the occasion, and then explain the event to the press. Teyssier will have the honor of demonstrating a dessert called Flamme chocolatée in reference to the next Olympic Games.
Chef Cardoni takes it upon himself to invite chefs and journalists to come and see the brigade students in the atelier, whose desserts will be served at the end of the day cocktail hour. Teissier adds that Berenice is the leader of the brigade. He gets up under applause. Although everyone gradually leaves the amphitheater, Cardone is convinced that Livio will honor their agreement: namely, to weaken Berenice so that Ethan can resume his position.
At the workshop, Carla comes to Berenice to find out how she feels. Very stressful, the latter imagines worst-case scenarios. Luckily, her friend is there to comfort and encourage her. He promises to be first in line for the tasting and witness her triumph. Berenia thanks Carla from the bottom of her heart for all her help over the past few weeks. A young woman creates a diversion by changing the scarf correctly for Berenice, who tries to kiss her. Carla sheepishly avoids him, then leaves.
As preparations begin, Ethan notices that some of the creams are unusable because someone forgot to close the freezer door. Everything has to be done again. But Berenia does not allow destabilization. He takes matters into his own hands while motivating his team.
Charged with getting her to the commissar, Livio is surprised that she is so calm. Berenica says she feels stronger because the brigade has confidence in her. He takes the opportunity to mention how fortunate he is to be able to rely on his experience and talent on his team. Uncomfortable, Livio ends up admitting that Cardone has recruited him to sabotage him, whether it’s by leaking his new lesbian erotica or simply leaving the now-cooling cell door open. He explains that in return Cardone promised to introduce him to important leaders. Livio therefore asks for forgiveness from Berenice, who agrees to let him stay in his brigade on the condition that he truly trusts him. Livio promises him that he doesn’t want to be Cardone’s puppet anymore.
The latter goes to the workshop to criticize Berenice for the delay in which she was forced to redo all the preparations. The first year stands over him and reveals everything Livio told him. Ethan is shocked by his mother’s fight. Together with Tom and Solal, he expresses solidarity with Berenice and demands that Cardone leave.
A little later, Teissier welcomes journalists and chefs to the atelier, where Berenia presents her mini desserts. During the cocktail party, Cardone insists on introducing Ethan to Chef Moreira, but the latter wants nothing more to do with his mother. In turn, Chef Moreira congratulates Berenica on her job. He wants to introduce him to the members of his brigade to share his hour of glory. So Chef Moreira congratulates them all collectively and declares that they met the challenge with flying colours. Berenice is overjoyed. The only downside is the absence of Carla.
At the end of the day, Teissier and Constance congratulate Berenice. The director of the institute offers to be his mentor to help him advance. Despite this good news, Berenica cannot rejoice. Teissier realizes that he is suffering because of Carla and advises her to put the dough before everything else. But Berenia cannot overcome this. He texts Carla to find out where she is, but it goes unanswered…
Stanislas hires an oenologist
Given the students’ deficiencies in oenology, Stanislaus asks Tessier for the green light to hire a specialist to bring them up to speed. Teissier accepts on the condition that he will take care of it with Antoine.
Stanislas goes to the management office to talk to him. He already has an ideal candidate for the position: a certain Iris Montin, with whom he already worked at the Chilean palace. Stanislas admits that he has never taught, but he is absolutely brilliant and knows his subject first and foremost. Antoine wants to meet her.
Stanislas arranges a meeting between Iris and Antoine at the end of the day. A young woman insists on ordering wine, showing her skill as she advises the restaurateur.
It’s a bottle of white wine that everyone appreciates that Iris talks a little more about her journey. He says he has traveled a lot and hasn’t been back to France for about ten years. Impressed with his earlier advice that paid off, the restaurateur announces that he is offering them a drink. Antoine is completely convinced. Iris can start next week.
Solal wants to take steroids
While Gaetan prepares for his sports lesson at the institute, Salome wants to talk to him again about steroids. Solal decides them. Salome leaves them both. Solal asks Gaytan to contact him to buy steroids. He explains that he needs to achieve the ideal weight. Gaitan replies that he should instead continue his sugar-free diet and do even more sports to achieve this goal. Solal calls him a hypocrite.
Gaitan later apologizes to Solal. He warns her about the risks associated with taking steroids. He adds that he should never have taken it and is about to throw away his box. Solal, on the other hand, says that there is no problem.
Back at his roommate, Gaetan entrusts Salome with his box of steroids. He really knew it was a bad idea. He’s just afraid of getting old when his job is based on his body and physical performance. Now Gaitan is more worried about Solal, who will probably try to get steroids without him. Salome believes that he will be able to win her over.
