The actor revealed that he doesn’t always think it’s necessary to include sex scenes in a film or series
Henry Cavill revealed that he doesn’t like recording sex scenes. “I don’t understand them — I’m not a fan,” she said in an interview with the podcast Happy Sad Confused(via NME).
“I think there are circumstances in which the sex scene is actually beneficial to the film, not just the audience,” he continued. “I think sometimes they’re overused these days. It’s when you have a sense of where you’re going, ‘Is it really necessary or is it just people with less clothes?'”
“And that’s when you start to get more uncomfortable and think: ‘there’s not a performance here, there’s not a part that will carry through the rest of the film'”, argued the actor. Still, he doesn’t think sex scenes are completely unnecessary: ”I think sex scenes can be great in a movie, they can help with the narrative, but most of the time, the human imagination will overcome them.”
“So it might be a bad excuse if a show or a movie is just filled with gyrating bodies and you’re like, ‘Okay, but what is that doing for us other than the idea of, oh, naked person, great. I’m not a fan. to do these scenes.'”
