Paramount has finally revealed the first trailer and release date for the film Knuckles, series derived from the Sonic universe. According to information from Engadget, the six-episode production will arrive on Paramount+ on April 26 in the United States and Canada, to be made available globally the following day.
According to the synopsis, the new series will follow Knuckles as he trains his human companion Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) to become a warrior, while also trying to defend himself from people who will try to use his power for nefarious purposes.

While Knuckles to be the first non-animated series related to the films Sonic, it will not be the first production in the hedgehog universe. Netflix launched, in 2022, the Sonic Prime, an animated series dedicated to the character. It is important to underline that the video game saga features numerous other adaptations.
Launched in 2020, Sonic it is among the highest-grossing video game adaptations, with over $300 million raised. After receiving a lot of criticism due to the characterization of the character, and having promised to improve the design in the sequel, Sonic 2 managed to double the box office numbers, guaranteeing another film.
Sonic AND Sonic 2 are available on Paramount+, Prime Video and Apple TV (some for rental). In the case of the sequel it is also included in the Netflix catalog.
