Is the actor really blind?

It was Maria Chiara Gianetta who had the difficult task of bringing the character of Blanca to life. But unlike his character, the young actor, who had to overcome a phobia during filming, is not blind. He had to undergo special training to prepare for this role.

In particular, he met several visually impaired people and worked intensively with singer Andrea Bocelli, who was a consultant for the series.

I met him at his home and it was quite amusing to see how a blind man knows and moves around his homeMaria Chiara Gianetta explained at the press conference.

I didn’t know his house and I was almost blind about it (laughs). He is a very funny man who can look you in the eye and know where you are in the room. He’s also someone who has a lot of presence, and he taught me to have one.

“It taught me a lot”

Maria Chiara Gianetta also worked with four other blind people, including Olympic champions, to understand her role. And all the visually impaired people he could meet during his training were not chosen by chance, because they all had the same sunny character and the same twist as the character of Blanca.

The actress also tried to put herself in the shoes of the blind to better understand Blanca. “I closed my eyes at home to do my daily routine like cooking, making the bed, dancing… and I discovered that time was something very important. Visually impaired people do not have the same concept of time as we do. He taught me a lot.
