Tonight on TV: He’s over 45, but this comedy hasn’t lost its edge

We have seen it (too) many times, and yet we always come back with the same pleasure! What kind of comedy are we talking about here? The DesBronzés are skiing, of course! Released in 1979, a year after Les Bronzés, this new film in the company of the Splendid troupe is still as funny and when it comes on TV, we don’t argue: we sit comfortably on the sofa and enjoy!

Les Bronzés go on skis, whose unpublished pictures appeared last year, so it is a reunion of an unlimited fun group of friends who, after Club Méditerranée, find themselves in winter sports. Popeye, Gigi, Bernard, Natalie, Christian, Jerome and Jean-Claude experience other sentimental problems and all kinds of misadventures…

What can we say about Les Bronzés skis, except that this monument of French laughter happily passes the years without the slightest wrinkle. It’s hilarious, full of iconic scenes (ahhhh, toad liquor…) and lines from the collective imagination… In short, a stand-up comedy, a big shot of good humor that’s a really good good moral!

It should be noted that unlike the Les Bronzés screenplay, Les Bronzés fait du ski is not an adaptation of a play, but an original work written for the cinema. Only Christian Clavier, Gérard Juno, Thierry Lhermitte and director Patrice Leconte were involved in the writing of the film, who tried to move forward with more intense humor.

Less important than the success of the bronze, the skiing of the bronze is not insignificant. Upon its release, the film was seen by more than 1.3 million viewers, compared to its predecessor’s nearly 2.2. When will you see this amazing country? And why not tonight?

Tonight on TF1 at 21:10.
