What do viewers think?
For Gruez A, Nursing Home 2 is “A very successful sequel with laughs, goodness and emotion. The script is well thought out and Kev Adams is as great as ever. They know how to mix comedy and emotion very well.”
Funny and moving?
Léonnie95 also won: “A great surprise. The first one wasn’t bad, I didn’t have any high expectations for this sequel, and yet it was a pleasant surprise. A very moving story that reminds us of the sad reality of our retirement home. A well-crafted plot with well-balanced, not heavy-handed humor. Definitely A sight to behold! You’ll have a good time, funny and very emotional.”
Kat’s Eyes also liked the film, but has a few minor reservations: “As in the first film, we’re having a really great time. But, with the sequel, we’re a little less surprised and awed by the alchemy that comes from this regal intergenerational casting.”
In turn, Caro Cinémé invites “A very good popular film, funny and exciting. A comedy around the sharing of different generations with an ingenious script, like a game of chess. The audience naturally applauded at the end of the film.”
“I couldn’t stop laughing! Intelligent, tender, extremely bright, full of love. The story is very well done and the mix between the young actors and the monsters of French cinema is a real treat.”Shared by Janefiox.
Very similar to the first part?
While the majority of the public really appreciated Retirement Home 2, with most ratings ranging from 3 to 5 stars, there are a few dissenting voices.
“The film is enjoyable at best. A bit sluggish with a disjointed production. Despite trying to stand out from it, this second opus is very similar to the first, a copy and paste, only the locations have changed.”Thierry B. emphasizes.
Lionelb30 isn’t really sure either: “An impressive cast, but that’s not enough. This movie is more about emotion than comedy, and unfortunately, it doesn’t work very well.”
Vincent A. believes that it exists “Good intentions to make a sequel to the first opus, but there are only 2 or 3 funny scenes, not enough to make a good film. Star for actors like Jean Reno and others who collect a lot of films. Own and very good acting, but the humor is very It is low, there is a great weakness in the character armyWhich is very caricatured.”
If you want to make up your own mind, Nursing Home 2 is on display from February 14th.
