In the room of a child named Jean-Christophe, there are many stuffed animals representing all kinds of animals. A rabbit, a tiger, a pig, an owl, two kangaroos, but above all… a bear cub. The latter, named Winnie, is a favorite companion of a young boy who invents many adventures for him in an enchanted land called the Forest of Blue Dreams.
Winnie is the hero of many stories, whether she’s getting her hands on a new pot of honey, facing a terrible storm, or facing a raging tiger.

Initiated by Walt Disney
Considered Disney Studios’ 22nd animated classic, released in theaters in 1977, The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is actually a compilation of several medium-length films.
In the early 1960s, Walt acquired the rights to the original works signed by British author Alan Alexander Milne, resulting in the first short film, Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree, corresponding to the first segment of the feature film.
After the death of Walt Disney, who unfortunately did not know the rest of his little bear’s adventures, other Winnie stories were put into action, eventually making up a film of over an hour.
Winnie and the Enchanted Studios
Behind this first feature film – which especially benefits from exceptionally careful animation and a high-quality original soundtrack signed by the legendary Sherman brothers (also working on Mary Poppins or The Jungle Book) – the links that now unite the Disney studios and the Little Bear stop being renewed.

Later, as part of the famous Enchanted Company, Winnie and his friends will become the characters of 4 animated series, 6 other animated features and a live-action film centered on the adult Jean-Christophe (performed by Ewan McGregor).
Gentle, cute and carefree, already infused with the irresistible voice of Roger Carell, the very first adaptation of The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is one of the few Disney films aimed almost exclusively at younger children (with the possible exception of a slightly scary scene. See below), and therefore can be an ideal introduction to Enchanted In the wonderful world of studios.

What will you like…
- Winnie’s character is admittedly a bit silly, but lovable. And all his friends, from the kind piglet to the energetic Coco the rabbit and the mischievous tiger.
- Various songs in the film and especially that one little cloud.
What could be bothering them…
- A nightmarish and almost psychedelic scene of “efélants” and “nouifes”, a true homage to horror. Elephant ride From Dumbo. I recommend saving this disturbing sequence for the youngest viewers.
- Another rather scary scene with Coco the rabbit, when the latter gets lost in the evil forest, in the middle of the film.
