Thomas Tuchel’s work causes a rift among the managers of the Bayern Munich dressing room

Recent results put pressure on the German coach

Bayern Munich’s crisis gains another chapter. According to “Bild”, from Germany, the club’s squad is divided between players against the work of coach Thomas Tuchel and athletes who defend the team commander.

The publication also specifies that six players are part of the first group, led by Thomas Müller. The attacker was not used by Tuchel, who sees no congruence between the player’s characteristics and his playing style. Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Matthijs de Ligt, Mathys Tel and Serge Gnabry are also part of this set.

In the second group, however, there are athletes who often work with the coach, such as Leroy Sané and Jamal Musiala. Even players who arrived at the club at Tuchel’s request, such as Harry Kane and Eric Dier, defend the German’s work.

The surprise of the group, however, belongs to Manuel Neuer. The goalkeeper is at the coach’s side because he believes he has a sort of “debt” towards the commander, who gave full support to the defender during the recovery period from the injury, a broken leg, suffered last season.

The crisis at Bayern Munich exploded after the 3-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen, in the match considered the “final” of the Bundesliga. Since then the Bavarian club has not won again (it also lost against Lazio, in the round of 16 of the Champions League, and against Bochum, in the Bundesliga).

In addition to the bad phase, the defeat in the decisive match led the players to criticize themselves publicly in post-match interviews. The pressure on Tuchel is also increasing: the coach has become more difficult, not only due to the team’s poor performance, but also due to the decisions made in the last few matches.
