The SUV segment is one of the most competitive on the market. Increasingly sought after by consumers, SUVs have become an option for those looking for a family car. The segment therefore concentrates most of the innovations and launches in the automotive market. Among the arguments in favor of the purchase include increased ground clearance, large interior space and, in some cases, the size of the trunk.
But what are the most affordable SUVs in Brazil? To find this answer we have selected the five cheapest models in this category on sale in the country, considering the prices of the versions available on the manufacturers’ websites, without distinction between engine and manual or automatic transmission. The public-facing versions of the PCD, however, were not on the list. Watch:

5th place – Nissan Kicks – R$112,990
Opening the ranking we have the Nissan Kick. Renewed in 2021, the Kicks starts at R$112,990 in the Active version. All versions of the SUV are equipped with a 1.6 Flex naturally aspirated engine with 113 HP and 150 Nm associated with a CVT automatic gearbox. Prices officially reach R$ 150,290 for the top of the Exclusive range, but it is possible to find discounts and bonus offers on the brand’s website. The second generation lasts until 2025, but the current Kicks must be kept in line.
4th place – Citroën C3 Aircross – R$ 112,990
In fourth place we have the Citroën C3 Aircross. The C3-derived SUV is manufactured in Porto Real (RJ) and has a starting price of R$109,990 when purchased online – otherwise it costs R$112,990. This value is valid for the entry Feel 5-seater version. All versions of the new C3 Aircross – including the top-of-the-range 7-seater Shine (R$ 136,590) are equipped with the 1.0 turbo flex engine with 130 HP and 200 Nm, always with CVT transmission.

3rd place – Renault Kardian – R$ 112,790
Opening the podium is the recently launched Renault Kardian. Still in the presale phase, Renault’s new SUV starts from R$ 112,790 in the entry-level Evolution version. It reaches R$132,790 in the top-of-the-range Première Edition version. Produced in São José dos Pinhais (PR), all versions of the Renault Kardian are equipped with a 1.0 turbo flex engine with 125 HP and 220 Nm, always with a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. It will arrive in stores in March this year.

2nd place – Citroën C4 Cactus – R$ 111,990
The Citroën C4 Cactus is the 2nd cheapest SUV in Brazil. Produced in Porto Real (RJ), the C4 Cactus starts at R$111,990 (R$106,990 via online purchase) in the entry-level Live version. It features a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated flex engine with power up to 120 HP and 153 Nm, again with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The top of the range Noir features the 173 HP 1.6 turbo THP engine and costs R$ 140,990. In practice, however, it is possible to find the C4 Cactus at much lower prices, thanks to the aggressive discounts offered by the brand.

1st place – Fiat Pulse – R$ 102,990
The most affordable SUV in Brazil is the Fiat Pulse. It starts from R$ 102,990 in the entry-level Drive version equipped with the 1.3 Firefly engine with 107 HP and 134 Nm, associated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Furthermore, the Fiat Pulse also has the option of a CVT automatic transmission and can be equipped with a 1.0 turbo engine with 130 HP and 200 Nm of torque. The price is R $ 149,990 for the top of the range Abarth, which is equipped with a 185 HP 1.3 turbo and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
