Fans of the video game franchise complained, on social media, about the adaptation’s similarities to the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
After Paris Filmes released the first trailer for Borderlands: The Fate of the Universe Is at Stakefans of the video game of the same name criticized the adaptation led by Eli Roth(Bloody Holiday) and compare it to the trilogy Guardians of the Galaxyfrom Marvel.
“Then they transformed Borderlands in Guardians of the Galaxy with a super weird cast. Excellent”criticized a user of X, formerly Twitter. “Dear Hollywood, which nerd hurt you? Which nerd hurt you so much that you hurt the movie Borderlands like this?”joked another.
So they turned Borderlands into Guardians of the galaxy with a very odd cast. Great.

Fans of Borderlands also criticized the casting of Jack Black (Super Mario Bros. The film) like the robot Claptrapconsidered the franchise’s mascot: “The trailer for the film Borderlands It doesn’t bring any excitement. Why didn’t they sign the voice actor for Claptrap [do jogo]which is much more memorable than Jack Black, for the paper? That’s the biggest mistake”criticized another user.

Launched in 2009, Borderlands is set on Pandora, a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by creatures, bandits and bounty hunters. In the story, we follow the journey of four explorers, who arrive on the wild planet in search of the mysterious Vault, which many don’t even believe exists.

The film), Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere at the Same Time), Gina Gershon (Bloody Holiday), Kevin Hart (Lift: High Heist), Edgar Ramirez (Dr Death), Janina Gavankar (The Morning Show), Olivier Richters (Black Widow), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story) It is Florian Munteanu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings). In addition to driving, Eli Roth is also responsible for the roadmap Borderlands: The Fate of the Universe Is at Stake together with the novice screenwriter Joe Crombiewhich many believe is actually a pseudonym for the creator of The Last of Us, Craig Mazin.
