The Max streaming service, which combines the entire HBO Max and Discovery+ catalog on the same platform, officially debuted in Brazil this Tuesday, February 27. Find out what changes and how much the plans cost.
What changes
HBO Max is now Max. The announcement of the change was confirmed by Warner Bros Discovery in January 2024. Now the platform will have more than a thousand titles in the catalog, including additional channels and productions. Additionally, it will feature more productions in 4K resolution.
In the USA the change already occurred last year and now it is also arriving in Brazil. According to the company, in addition to the HBO collection, the platform will make available productions from Warner Bros., DC Universe, Discovery, Discovery Home & Health, ID, Cartoon Network, Discovery Kids and Adult Swim. The program also includes screenings of Sony Pictures films, live events and local original productions.
In total, the catalog will have more than 37 thousand hours of content, more than double what is currently available on the old HBO Max. Highly successful series and films will also continue in the catalogue, such as game of Thrones AND Harry PotterFor example.
