Gunn took to his social media to congratulate the character and say that, even without planning it, he started filming the new Man of Steel movie on the same day as his birthday. Taking advantage of the momentum, he published the first image of the shield of the new uniform, which will be worn by actor David Corenswet (Pearl).

It’s not exactly the first image that fans expected and wanted to see, but it’s enough to give some hints about what’s to come, starting with the style of the uniform worn by Superman. For those who expected to see the Man of Steel return to wearing a fabric costume, like in the classics of the 70s, James Gunn already shows that the idea is to keep this type of structured fiber, more or less like the uniform worn by Henry Cavill.
It is also interesting to note that, on the first day of filming, the production shot in a snowy location. Considering the recent posts of the director and co-CEO of DC Studios, we will even see the Fortress of Solitude, the refuge used by the hero in the middle of the Arctic. Massive new title
In the same post, James Gunn revealed that throughout the pre-production process he had only thought of one name for the film: The Legacy of Superman. However, once the script was finished and will finally be shot, the director noted that the film deserved another title.
Therefore, the adaptation will only be called Superman. Nothing full of subtitles, simple, direct and embracing this new beginning of the DCU. The trio play Lois Lane, Superman and Lex Luthor respectively and do not appear featured in the publication.
