From 6 years
In the middle of an evil bayou, on the deck of an abandoned steamship, under the evil eye of two chained alligators, a little girl throws a bottle into the sea. A diamond in the world, a little orphan does not lose hope of survival.
It was through an international organization called SOS Society – an association of rodents from around the world responsible for helping the oppressed – that the little girl’s message of grief was finally discovered. Bianca, a Hungarian delegate, volunteers for this dangerous mission. He chooses Bernard, the concierge of the association, who has never been on a trip before.
- Tonight with the Family: This charming movie could be the first Disney to show your kids
Released in the mid-’70s—a decade in which the Disney studios had to deal with the disappearance of their founder—The Adventures of Bernard and Bianca is one of those little nuggets stuck in time that we often forget to quote (except incorrectly). When discussing the company’s big jobs.
Unforgettable characters
Adapted from the works of Margery Sharpe, this feature film adapted from the works of Margery Sharpe is more modest and on a smaller scale (no doubt due to the nature of its characters) than timeless classics such as Snow White or Sleeping Beauty.
Among its many assets, the most precious is the gallery of unforgettable characters: the charming couple created by Bernard and Bianca, of course, also the cute and boisterous little Penny, not to forget the more secondary characters, such as the friendly cat Rufus, excellent. Dragonfly Evinrude and, of course, the funny Albatross Orville.
Full of humor, emotion, and adventure, Bernard and Bianca’s Adventures is one of those “little” Disneys you’ll never regret giving!

What will you like…
- The adventurous spirit that comes out of the film. A pirate cave, lost treasure, alligators and jet ski chases are on the menu!
- The film’s French voices, beginning with the voices of the two protagonists, are dubbed by the inexplicable Roger Carell and Beatrice Delphi.
What could be bothering them…
- Evil Medusa, also very funny, but absolutely disgusting. While this is undoubtedly one of the film’s strengths, it has a good chance of scaring the younger ones.
