Star Wars: This legendary voice of cinema has died

Fans of the Star Wars saga will remember his hysterical laughter echoing deep within Jabba’s palace as the merciless Salasio Crab scurried with his master.

Those who grew up with Joe Dante’s films instead heard him provide the voice for Mogwai’s amazing chirp at the beginning of Gremlins.

American actor Mark Dodson, known for his career in the dubbing industry and whose voice accompanied the childhood of many viewers, died this Saturday, March 2, at the age of 64 of a heart attack.

According to his daughter on the microphone TMZHe was in Indiana at the time preparing to participate in a fan convention.

A memorable role in Star Wars

His most notable role is undoubtedly that of Salacious Crumb, an unforgettable bat-like creature who would burst out with sadistic laughter every time one of Jabba’s prisoners got into trouble. Return of the Jedi.
