3 reasons not to buy the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2

The HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 are good entry-level headphones, but even good products have their dubious sides. So, check out 3 reasons not to buy it

An entry-level headset with a good price, beauty, comfort, good microphone, accessibility and a wide range of connections is definitely a dream for every gamer on a low budget. However, despite the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 being a competent product, it is not close to perfect and has some annoying points that we need to talk about.

After an in-depth analysis carried out in Canaltech, the time has come to touch the wound of these gaming headphones. Below is a list of 3 reasons that may cause you not to purchase the HyperX Sting of the Clouds 2.

3. Weak cable

Wired headphones have become the ugly duckling of the headphone world, as a growing number of gamers prefer wireless models. Having a cable isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However, having headphones with a faulty cable is really an annoying problem.

The cable of the Cloud Stinger 2 is 2 meters long, but its finish features only a simple and thin rubberized layer, without any type of protection. The very separation between the cable and the body of the device is fragile. This thread gets tangled easily and you notice that in the hands of someone a little less careful it will last less than it should. So if you like strong cables, the Stinger 2’s weak rubber is not a good indicator.

2. Flexibility

It’s not fair to oversell any entry-level product, but the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2’s lack of flexibility is truly a point to consider. The peripheral can rotate its two shells 90º to rest on a surface or hang it on the chest, which is a good positive point. However, there is no adjustment that allows you to make it smaller to fit in a backpack.

This is an obstacle for those who love playing with their notebook and always traveling. This lack of creases and also the lack of an included case can cause the headset to break in your backpack or purse. If that’s your case, that’s fine. think twice before purchasing.

1. Comfort

While I wasn’t bothered by the comfort offered by the HyperX Cloud Stinger 2, this may be different for those with larger heads, so to speak. Even though it has six centimeters of adjustment at the edge, the headset can hurt those with larger heads.

This is something very individual and varies a lot depending on the anatomy of the user, but it is a point to consider when purchasing. Another issue is the synthetic foams in the ear cups, which while satisfactory for the segment, could be better filled to inflate the ear more.
