Maycon’s reasons for rejecting Flamengo and staying at Corinthians

Midfielder Maycon has decided to reject Flamengo’s offer and will remain at Corinthians in 2024. On loan to Shakhtar Donetsk, from Ukraine, he has received an offer to sign, on a permanent basis, with Rubro-Negro, a four-year contract. Even so, he decided to refuse the invitation and stay at the Parque São Jorge club. However, the player’s decision to stay at Timão was based on three factors.

There are 11 months of outstanding image rights, which could be used by the player to have his contract terminated and look for another team. The player has great affection for Timão and preferred to find an amicable agreement to receive what he owed.
