Creator of Profiling Comes to Netflix: Discover Anthracite’s Spectacular Trailer

After Pax Massilia and Furies, Netflix continues the momentum of original French creations with Anthracite, a 6-episode mini-series created by Fanny Robert and Maxime Berthem, the duo who notably worked on Profilage and Vise le Coeur.

While the fiction will be available starting April 10, Netflix has just released the first exciting trailer.

Sect, collective suicide and spectacular investigation in the program

“Thirty years ago there was a sect that settled there and they were all found dead inside.”. Anthracite’s trailer opens with these few words. The action of this thriller begins in 1994, when the collective suicide of a sect based in a small village in the Alps hits the headlines. The only survivor of this tragedy: Guru.

Thirty years later, the body of a young woman murdered according to community rituals is found, throwing the fragile balance of society into disarray. Jaro Gatsi, a young criminal who came to the mountain to get his life back on track, is quickly framed for murder. However, he will receive unexpected help from Ida, a young eccentric geek who is looking for her father, who disappeared under strange circumstances.

The latter, a journalist, was covering the case of the sect at that time. They quickly realize that their involvement in this case is no accident, and that the answers they seek are rooted in the secrets of their past…

Five star actor

To play the character of Jaro, Netflix tapped rapper Hatik, who can be seen in Validé and the mini-series A Perfect Mother. For the occasion, she plays opposite Noemi Schmidt (Paris est à nous), who lends her qualities to Ida. The role of the latter’s father is played by Jean-Marc Barry.

On the other hand, Camille Lou (I promise, Les Combattantes) plays a police officer in search of the truth. Nicolas Godart, Rafael Ferretti, Stefano Cassetti, Cad Meradi and Vincent Rotiers round out the cast. Maxime Berthem and Fanny Robert are writing six episodes of Anthracite with Sophie Lebarbiere and Mehdi Ouhab. Production, in turn, was entrusted to Julius Berg.

Therefore, the appointment is made on April 10 at 9:01 am to discover the episode 6 of Anthracite.
