Friday March 8th at Un Si Grand Soleil…

Ludo discovers that Elliot is hired on a farm

Becker tells Elise, Alex and Manu that the DA has decided to open a preliminary investigation based on William Challon’s complaint. Alice makes it clear to her boss that she maintains a friendly relationship with the complainant’s daughter, prompting Becker to ask Alex to team up with Manu on the case.

Elliot arrives at William’s farm to begin his mission. He introduces himself to William and Elodie, tells them that he heard about the seasonal worker position, and assures them that even though he has no experience in agriculture, he is a fast learner and is studying veterinary medicine. William quickly accepts her application. Eliot explains that he spent a few years in prison for stupidity, that he then went abroad and that he came back because he needs to work. William appreciates her sincerity and welcomes her.

Elodie seems a little less excited. He then informs his father that perhaps they should have been given time to think. But William tells his daughter that Eliot inspires him with confidence and that, in any case, they have no other candidate.

Patrice Bienvenu, the boss of Engrais Plus, goes to the police station with his lawyer, Serge Levars. The latter reveals to Manu that Bienvenu is giving them the Fertilizer Plus archive documents to prove that he has nothing to hide.

Under questioning, Bienvenu claims that the company’s former chemist lied about the toxicity of Fertilizer Plus products. For him, this employee simply did not agree to be fired and decided to react after reading the lies spread by the press to create an uproar. But Manu counters that the man was fired after reporting that glyphosate levels in the produce were higher than the standard. And that he did not speak to make a noise, but to condemn the illness of his colleagues.

Bienvenu ends up losing patience and getting angry. Serge Levars tries to defuse the situation by saying that his client simply cannot bear to answer the slander while his company creates jobs.

At Chalon Farm, Ludo meets Elliot and discovers that he has been hired by William. She tells Elodie that she knows Elliot well and that he is not a good person. He even adds that he is a dangerous person.

Elizabeth is involved in a mysterious case

Elizabeth complains to Allen’s assistant. He asked her to book a ticket for him on the 12:30pm flight to Luxembourg, but forgot to do so. Allen is annoyed to find that his partner didn’t issue a notice of his absence until Thursday. Elizabeth apologizes for not being able to make it to dinner at the Kazoo’s, but assures Allen that she’ll be back at the weekend and that they’ll be at peace once he’s dealt with this important matter.

Later, at L Cosmétiques, Boris reminds Elizabeth that they have a meeting with the Occitania Regional Development Agency that same day to ask for support for a prospect in China. Elizabeth replies that she has completely forgotten and has no time. Boris makes it clear to his boss that they can’t postpone this meeting, and then Elizabeth offers to leave without him, accompanied by Berthier. Elizabeth trusts them completely, but still advises them to be good.

Once with Berthier and Leonore, Boris seems annoyed. He doesn’t agree that Elizabeth let them down when the meeting is high stakes. Berthier then points out that Elizabeth has been underrepresented and undermotivated for some time. Leonor tries to reassure them: she is sure they will comply.

At the same time, François reveals to Lorin that he is traveling to Luxembourg with Elizabeth to meet with new bankers for their project. He explains to his daughter that if these bankers agree, they will take a new step. He then asks her not to tell Boris about it because it’s confidential.

During the meeting, the development agency announces to Boris and Berthier that their project has been accepted. Both men are freed. This help will allow them to adapt commercial offers in China.

The agency manager tells them they should plan to be there for a week to see as many prospects as possible. She insists on one point: Elizabeth will have to go there in person. For the Chinese, it is a sign of respect when leaders travel. Boris claims that even if his boss had an obstacle today, he is very invested in the project. The agency manager asks Boris and Berthier to inform them of their availability as soon as possible.

In the evening, Boris discusses the situation with Lorin and tells her about his irritation with Elizabeth. Then he learns from his sister that their father, with whom he is supposed to have dinner, has left for an important meeting in Luxembourg. Intrigued, the young man tries to find out more, but Lorin refuses to tell him anything.
