Pixar released the first official trailer for ‘Inside Out 2’ and a detail in Riley’s attitude caught the attention of fans. We tell you all about this and other details of the film.
Fans believe Riley is part of the LGBT community in ‘Inside Out 2’
On March 7, Pixar released the first extended look at the film’s sequel.
In it, we see an older Riley than in the first film, transformed into a 13-year-old facing new experiences like entering high school or wearing braces.
In addition, the protagonist’s new emotions were introduced: Anxiety, Shame, Envy, and Anger.
However, it was another detail that caught the attention of fans. Just after the first minute, we see Riley at her first meeting with Valentina, a girl from her new school. Although the moment is short, the looks they exchanged were enough for some fans to theorize about the teenager’s sexual orientation. In particular, many pointed out that he could be part of the LGBT community.
So far, the fan theory revolves around Riley being attracted to her friend, though it’s still too early to know if she’ll reciprocate or not.
What most people agreed on is that they find it unlikely that this romance will play out in depth on screen.
According to information from Pixar, Valentina, “Val,” is a “high school hockey player that everyone, including Riley and her friends, look up to.”
