“Thug of the century” told his story in different ways. First in an autobiography published in 2006, then in the documentary Rocco, released ten years later. The actor worked as a consultant on Supersex. He was able to provide details about his experience and personality, but never got involved in writing the script.

Creator Francesca Manieri, a devoted and feminist woman, did not want to meet Rocco Siffredi until she had done all the research and found the angle for the series. In an interview with AlloCiné, he explains:I wanted to know everything about him, but I didn’t meet him because it would be difficult for me to keep all my freedom.”

A stormy meeting

Only once this work was completed did the screenwriter get a meeting, and to say the least, the first contact was not easy. “It was difficult at first. Difficult, but stronghe reveals. If you are willing to face other people’s differences and come into conflict with them, don’t run away from that conflict, something will happen. And so it happened. Therefore, we agreed to enter the conflict in order to begin its history.”

The collaboration eventually continued peacefully. “I share his belief that sexuality is something insatiableadmits Francesca Manieri. Of course, when I met him, I realized that he is much more free in his view of sexuality than we should have thought..”
