SBT announces the cast of “A Caverna Encantada”, its next children’s soap opera


The new production, which will replace “The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet”, promises adventure, mischief and fun in a mysterious boarding school




SBT announced this Monday (3/11) the details and cast of “A Caverna Encantada”, its next children’s soap opera. The presentation of the work was made by director Ricardo Mantoanelli to the team and actors, marking the first time that everyone met to discuss the new production. The plot, written as always by Iris Abravanel, will replace “The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet” in the second half of this year.

“The Enchanted Cave” tells the story of Anna, daughter of Paulo, a missionary doctor. When Paulo is called on a dangerous mission, Anna is left in a boarding school in the hinterland of São Paulo, where she will live with very different children. Paulo promises to return on Anna’s birthday, but, mysteriously, she does not return. A

The premise is reminiscent of the film “The Little Princess” (1995), the first English-language feature film by Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón.

Ricardo Mantoanelli expressed enthusiasm for the new production: “‘The Enchanted Cave’ follows a formula that children like: adventure, mischief and fun within a mysterious boarding school. We are very excited about what we have created so far and the arrival of the cast will bring even more splendor to this pre-production phase.”

The adult cast of “The Enchanted Cave” includes actresses Rosi Campos and Luiza Tomé, as well as Miguel Coelho, Isabela Souza, Andrey Lopes, Thay Bergamim, Giu Nassa, Pamella Machado, Clarice Niskier, Phil Miler, Arthur Kohl, Ariane Souza, Henrique Sganzerla, Magali Biff and Theo Werneck. The children who will be part of the fictional school are Mel Summers, Wallentina Bomfim, Sofia Fornazari, Manu Bistene, Juju Teófilo Mari Yumi, Juju Penido, Bernardo Schroeder, Diego Laumar, Lucca Almeida, Bernardo Prado, Gabriel Avellar, Theo Radicchi, Victor Lima and Guilherme Tavares.

Rumors about the production guaranteed the presence of Regina Duarte in the cast, but her name was not included in the announcement.
