Equipped with a 75 kW/102 hp electric motor, the new Wuling Bingo Plus offers up to 510 km of range and wants to battle with BYD Dolphin in China
BYD Dolphin may have gained a strong competitor in China. This is the Wuling Bingo Plus, a compact electric SUV developed by General Motors. Sold in options up to 75 kW (102 hp), the Wuling Bingo Plus is derived from the Bingo electric hatch, which has sold more than 200,000 units in 2023. The Plus version starts at 89,800 yuan, around R$63,000 in direct conversion.
With a length of 4.03 meters, the Wuling Bingo Plus is slightly smaller than a Volkswagen Polo (4.07 m). It also measures 1.72 m wide and 1.57 m high, with a wheelbase of 2.61 m – 4 cm smaller than a Virtus. The design has modern lines, highlighted by the angular headlights and the floating-style roof.

Two-tone paint options still exist in China. Inside, the panel features horizontal lines and soft touch materials in the central part. There are also two screens, one is the 8.8″ instrument panel and the other a 10.1″ multimedia center, where the main functions of the car are also concentrated, including the climate controls.
Equipped with a 102 HP and 180 Nm front electric motor, the Wuling Bingo Plus goes from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.7 seconds – the 0 to 100 km/h time and the top speed have not been disclosed. The range varies between 401 km and 510 km in the Chinese cycle, depending on the versions. Fast charging time from 30% to 80% takes approximately 35 minutes.

With a focus on urban use and prices around R$60,000, the Wuling Bingo Plus could be a good option for the Brazilian market, especially to compete with the BYD Dolphin and the GWM Ora 03. However, despite the model’s possibilities arrive in the country are low, it is likely that GM will use some of Wuling’s technology to develop electric cars for the Brazilian market under the Chevrolet brand.
