Elliot is faced with a dilemma
In the morning, Jose gives Elliott the dynamite and detonators he requested.
At the police station, Commissioner Becker tries to understand why Prosecutor Bernier refuses to open an investigation with the evidence they have. Convinced of Fertilizer Plus’ responsibility for the cancers developed by the farmers, Becker therefore asks Manu to dig into the side of the company’s employees. Given the toxicity of the products they produce, the police wouldn’t be surprised if their employees developed cancer as well.
In turn, prosecutor Bernier accuses Patrice Bienvenu of lying about the toxicity of his products. Patrice Bienvenue admits that he sprayed pesticides with glyphosate for the sole purpose of saving his business, and also emphasizes that he chose to turn a blind eye. He said his friend must have known that he had not helped him finance the house out of pure charity, and that he would surely have to ask him in return one day. An outraged Bernier says his company is responsible for public poisoning that caused cancer and that he himself has denied evidence of that wrongdoing. He then warns her that she won’t be able to avoid police arrest, but Patrice informs her that she won’t go down alone if that happens.
At the same time, Patrice receives a call from Manu, who asks him for a list of employees for the past ten years.
Not far from there, Eve calls Elliott and tries to find out if Prosecutor Bernier has given him the Fertilizer Plus mission. Although he insists that this is not the case, Eva knows that her son is lying to her. So she explains to him that Manu is investigating this company and that Prosecutor Bernier is not clear on the matter. She then advises him to call Manu but to no avail.
Later, Muriel confides in Eve that Eliot has changed since arriving in Montpellier. It must be said that the future father no longer thinks about him or their child. A distraught young woman is having contractions and explains to Eve that they have been getting stronger and stronger since the morning. Eve then asks her to lie down on the couch so she can count the intervals. If they are regular, Eve will take him to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Elliot is working in the vineyard when he sees William feeling unwell and collapses. Immediately, Elliot takes her to the farm, where Elodie joins them. After making sure her father was okay, the young woman asked him to stop working, which he refused. After begging William to take a break, Elodie thanks Elliot for his help.
Once a lonely young man opens his bag and looks thoughtfully at the dynamite…
Kira found a way to turn the page
Kira has to go back to school today. If Claire and Enzo seem particularly concerned, Florent doesn’t really see why his daughter would stop going to class because of heartbreak. Claire then reminds him of their daughter’s past. Between this separation and abandonment, the nurse says she’s sure it’s harder than it seems. Florenti agrees with him and to make amends, he offers to take the whole family out to a restaurant that evening.
A few seconds later Kira joins them. A teenager has an anxiety attack while getting into the car to go to school. Afraid of meeting Louis, Kira decides to stay home, much to the dismay of her parents, who decide to leave her alone.
In turn, Louis takes advantage of Tice and Robin by meeting them in the high school hallways to inform them that he has been transferred to a different class. Tice then sends him away.
Meanwhile, Claire gets a call from Elizabeth, who wants to apologize. Indeed, he feels responsible for Louis and Kira’s breakup. Had Allen not offered this DNA test, the young man would never have met Flor, and never would have. Claire claims she had nothing to do with it and doesn’t blame him. Afterwards, Elizabeth explains to him that she found a way to help Kira. Indeed, a very good friend of hers knows the headmaster of a boarding school in Ales that could take Kira for the year. Even if she thinks this option is a bit extreme, Claire promises to talk to her daughter about it.
At the high school, Sabine waits for classes to end to ask Thais why Kira didn’t come back to class today. The teenager tells him that his friend doesn’t want to go back to high school, even though Louis was changing classes.
Later, Louis asks Robin about Kira. Therefore, the latter informs him that the young woman will not return to high school. Disappointment for Louis, who thought he had found a solution to the situation. Robin then reminds her that he broke her heart and that changing grades won’t change anything. He says he needs to give it time, but Louis knows his ex can stay mad at him for a long time.
At the end of the day, Claire tells Kira and Florent about Elizabeth’s proposal. If Florent thinks it’s radical, Kira thinks it’s the best solution for her.
