“If you want to find treasure, don’t look to Disney”: Nicolas Cage confirms there will be no sequel to his action-adventure saga

The actor updated the status of The Lost Treasure 3, and after nearly two decades, the news isn’t encouraging.

Bad news for Legend of the Lost Treasure fans. Nicolas Cage confirmed that there is no third installment.

“Here we are! See, you’re the one who brings these things to the surface and they come out and eclipse everything else. No, there’s no The Lost Treasure 3. If you want to find treasure, don’t watch Disney, okay? There’s no” , Nicolas Cage revealed in an interview with Screen Rant.

So making The Lost Treasure 3 seemed like the logical step, but the plan hasn’t come to fruition for nearly two decades. In 2022, Disney tried to revive the saga with the series The Legend of the Lost Treasure: On the Edge of Historybut it was canceled after one season.

The truth is that hopes that The Legend of the Lost Treasure 3 would become a reality were low until 2022 when the producer Jerry Bruckheimer confirmed it they were working on the script for the third film.
