Great series! The casting is amazing!👌🏼And a lot of intrigue. When will season 2 come out? Stay tuned to see more! My compliments!

According to ANDOLINI13 (4/5)

Pure Guy Ritchie, the series is set in the world of British gangsters with a gallery of atypical characters. The series has a good balance between humor and action. The casting is good, as is the pacing of the series.

According to Spider Cineman (3/5)

We will taste the pleasure of it in the first episodes, the effect of setting the context and the intrigue. On the other hand, it goes a bit more in circles on the next one, even with a fairly conventional scenario. Friendly without being hair-raising, it lacks a bit of action and the casting does its job – properly – without being over the top. A series that will pass, but which is no more than a little lacking in originality.

why does it work

With The Gentlemen, Guy Ritchie confronts the world of soap operas while regaining his effectiveness (which has been lacking lately). With Theo James, excellent as the British and phlegmatic aristo who enjoys the action, there was no need to attract subscribers in numbers. Some decry the recipe, which is a bit simple, but praise the quality of the production.

Number 2: Outreau: A French Nightmare

The documentary series The Outreau Affair: A French Nightmare explores one of France’s greatest legal tragedies. In the early 2000s, in northern France, a young judge, Bourgogne, is in charge of investigating allegations of pedophilia in a family. But the case gets more and more complicated as the investigation progresses, when it appears that other residents of the town are also involved. Between the accusations and the counter-accusations, the court car takes over.

why does it work

After the Grégory documentary series, Netflix dives into another case that rocked France in the early 2000s, the Outreau case. In four episodes, the platform combines numerous testimonies, from lawyers who actively participated in the trials, to journalists, including victims, to review this judicial error, which highlights the flaws of the institution and the media system.

Number 3: Bandidos

Miguel and his accomplice Lily are joined by a group of bandits trying to recover treasure from the underwater burial of a Spanish galley sunk in the Gulf of Mexico during the Revolutionary War. So they’re not the only ones chasing bonus…

Viewer rating: 3.3/5

According to Neil (5/5):

“An excellent series that combines intrigue, humor, emotions (sadness…) and many other things. I find it to be over and there are twists and turns in almost every episode. If you want to watch a series in one shot, this is for you. The cast is magical, the actors play very well.”

Wait according to Ninat (5/5)

“I found this series very attractive. It may not be to everyone’s taste, but if you like action, adventure and treasure hunting, this series is for you. loved”

By JJ Sternjacob (4/5)

“Absolutely insane series. For those who like this kind of humor and don’t care about plausibility. Very funny and sometimes disturbing.”

why does it work

Action, colorful characters, a bit of mythology… Bandidos, the latest Mexican series from Netflix, is a little bit of it all at the same time. An ultra-entertaining series in a sunny setting that will make you want to board your first plane to South America and help pass the time. With Ester Exposito, especially in Elite.

Number 4: Iron Fist

The seaport of Barcelona receives almost 6,000 containers per day. Goods from all over the world, among which more than 30 tons of cocaine can be hidden in just one year, making the Spanish city one of the most important entry points for drug trafficking in Europe. Joaquin Manchado, the owner of the main port terminal, knows this well.

Viewer rating: 3.2/5

According to Francesco 31 (4.5/5):

“So there’s a find! The settings (Barcelona port) that looks like one of the main actors, a well-crafted story, great staging, with rhythmic sequences that follow each other very consistently, very nervously. A lot. Characters, well built. All the actors in their It does a good job. However, there are always, or almost always, supporting roles that are not up to par and weaken the plot. Nope. Great work by the writers, directors, great direction from the cast. We want more!”

According to Jean-Guillaume473 (4.5/5):

“I devoured 8 episodes in one weekend! A very good series about the drug world at the gateway to the Mediterranean. The action takes place mainly in and around the port of Barcelona. I recommend it for a good time.”

why does it work

We have never seen such a series that plunges us into the docks of Barcelona. And maybe that’s why With a Hand of Iron is so popular. With its dark and sticky atmosphere, hidden violence and promising plot, this new Spanish production is probably the nice surprise of the week. And he has to keep climbing to the top.

Number 5: Signal

Arriving on the ISS, Paula does not come home. Sven and his daughter Charlie wait for him at the boarding gate, but the plane has disappeared. Sven thinks Paula left him a clue. But the further he goes down this path, the more his life falls apart…

Audience rating: 3/5

According to Pascal I (4/5):

“For my part, I was truly hooked. A captivating experience from start to finish. Full of emotion and very mysterious, the 4-episode mini-series takes viewers into the unknown. Very well acted, the acting “The cast is impeccable. A special mention for little Yuna Bennett. successful 4/5!!!”

According to Guizmoon (4.5/5):

“A very nice little series. Sometimes it drags, but we’re all in the mood. Be warned, there’s no sci-fi concept, as some might expect. It’s a psychological series first and foremost. I recommend it to fans of suspense.”

According to Lilly (2/5):

“Meh and reh too long episodes, too little action, the cast is all over the place and not as expressive as it should be, even the cast is poorly exploited, the script bites the tail. There is a lack of breath in this absolutely disastrous series.”

why does it work

Mystery and suspense often go well together… The formula is not new, but the effectiveness of The Signal series proves that success does not always depend on the originality of the story.

In order to provide enough masterful entertainment, the new German production is the top 5 most watched series on Netflix in France for the second week in a row!

So what is the platform waiting for to order an additional season for its new hit Across the Rhine?
