A bit of history

High expectations

Disney has announced the resumption of X-Men ’97 in 2021. So it was 3 years of waiting. The expectation is even greater because it is an animation with the Marvel Studios seal. And for choosing Beau DeMayo as showrunner for the first season. He is one of those responsible for the great series The witcherfrom Netflix.

The revival will also see the return of many original (English) voice actors, such as Cal Dodd (Wolverine), Lenore Zann (Rogue), George Buza (Beast) and Alyson Court (Jubilee).

This is a real attraction for old fans. The series, however, is also expected to attract new fans. For those under 30, imagine that, here in Brazil, the X-Men were, for many years, almost all we had of Marvel to consume on TV.

Tobey Maguire’s first Spider-Man film was in 2002. Iron Man which started the MCU was only in 2008! In other words, the X-Men have reigned supreme here for a long time. And it made me very happy. For the little ones, have fun!
