Jacob Elord is everywhere. If you haven’t discovered the actor in Euphoria, you might have seen him in Saltburn, a gritty film available on Prime Video, or as Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla. Before playing Frankenstein’s monster for Guillermo del Toro, he will be the hero of the mini-series The Narrow Road Deep North, which is expected on Prime Video.
From the director of Assassin’s Creed
This ambitious project, which has just finished shooting in Australia, is an adaptation of Richard Flanagan’s book of the same name and tells the epic love story between Lieutenant Colonel Dorrigo Evans (Jacob Elord) and a young woman, Amy Mulvaney (Odessa Young).
The narrative spans decades of the soldier’s life, from his childhood, to being a prisoner of war in Thailand, and later when he became a famous surgeon and war hero in Australia.
The five-episode series is directed by Australia’s Justin Kurzel, director of Macbeth and Assassin’s Creed alongside Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, as well as Nitram, which is being presented at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
