This is the case for example with this curious little house located on the edge of the Frontierland area (dedicated to the Wild West era), on the borders of the original Disneyland in California.

Few visitors pay attention to it, and even fewer know exactly what it was used for, but this house is not just another structure.

Simply because Owen and his wife Dolly are horse specialists!

Horse carriers

Approached by Walt Disney teams in 1951, a few years before Disneyland opened, they first served as consultants and then hired on-site animals, especially the horses and ponies used in shows and parades.

This position is the only one in the park that requires constant presence on the site (to care for the animals, even after the doors are closed), so the paps were invited to live in Disneyland, in a house of about 120 m², located just behind the ranch, called “Pony Farm”.
