Spring has sprung and we officially have the first movie premiering this season: “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” (“Ghostbusters: Ghost Apocalypse”), which hit theaters in Mexico on March 21, while in the United States it will debut on the 22 Of March.
What is ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’, the new Ghostbusters movie, about?
After the events of “Ghostbusters: The Legacy” (2021), the Spengler family returned to the place where the entire story of the franchise began: the iconic fire station in New York with the original team of Ghostbusters.
Winston Zeddemore has developed a secret laboratory for capturing ghosts, where an ancient object that contains an evil power is being studied. To stop this disaster, ghostbusters new and old will join forces and their knowledge to face this menace.
Does the movie ‘Ghostbusters: Ghost Apocalypse’ have a post-credits scene?
Years ago, scenes in the credits were uncommon, until Marvel Studios started leaving these sequences to promote the next films of their phases or the arrival of a character.
This strategy has been picked up by other studios, who have joined the trend of abandoning a scene that contains something funny or just a small skit that didn’t fit the film.
Spoilers begin below, so read at your own risk.
At the end of the movie “Ghostbusters”, you better stay in your seat, because halfway through the credits there is a series that will thrill fans of this franchise.
For those who stay, you’ll be able to enjoy a short sequence starring a group of Mini Marshmallow Men, who already appeared in “Ghostbusters: The Legacy” and which pays homage to the great Marshmallow Man from the 1984 “Ghostbusters” movie.
In this scene, a truck driver from the Stay Puft Marshmallow company stops at a gas station to refuel. The man goes to get a sandwich and the machine keeps his money, starting to struggle to get his food.
While he fights for his snack, the mini marshmallows take control of the vehicle and leave the scene, performing another of their pranks.
This series doesn’t confirm a third film, but it’s sure to entertain more than one viewer.
